Event Description

We are navigating a decisive decade. As we explored in previous editions of Education House, rapid technological acceleration and global instability are reshaping the landscape faster than our institutions can adapt.

Education is the engine that can equip young people with the agency, awareness, creativity and critical thinking necessary to navigate and solve these complex, interconnected challenges. And at the same time, our collective efforts remain fragmented. Social entrepreneurs innovate on the margins, governments struggle to modernize at scale, philanthropy and civil society often operate in silos, and educators are in the classroom making difficult, real time decisions under immense pressure every day.

Education House Oxford 2026 aims to bridge these divides, asking what collaborations need to happen to ensure this new paradigm of education is taken up globally. We are convening five critical actors— Educators, Social Entrepreneurs, Government and Multilaterals, Philanthropy, and Civil Society—to map the architecture of a new paradigm that is student-centered, locally rooted, and globally informed.

Purpose, People and Philanthropy: Education House @ Skoll 2026 Learning Arc

To investigate the theme, we will host a learning arc throughout the afternoon that look at Purpose, People and Philanthropy in education and the collaborations required:

Purpose - How can we accelerate widespread shifts in the purpose of education towards a new paradigm?

People- How are we building the collective leadership required for systems change across all levels of our systems?

Philanthropy - How can funders catalyse collective action and long-term systems change to advance a new paradigm for education?
