5 Things to Know Before Attending Education House UNGA 81

Education House UNGA 81 - Education for Sustainable Development will be on 22 September 2025 in New York City. This edition will bring together stakeholders to consider how education is the foundation of human capability, economic resilience, and sustainable development, and ask what needs to shift to ensure every child is enabled to thrive.

If you are registered to attend Education House UNGA 81, here are 5 things you need to know:

1. Event Details

• Date: Tuesday, 22 September 2025
• Location: Teach For America/Teach For All, 25 Broadway, New York, 10004
• Time: Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your registered session to allow for security, elevators, and finding your room.
• Subway: Bowling Green | Broad Street | Rector Street

2. Visitor Arrival and Registration

• A member of the Education House team will check your Government Issued-ID, give you a floor map and direct you to the floor your first session is on.
• Education House is located on the 12th floor (Grand Central, Atrium, Flatbush), 13th Floor (Teachers' Lounge) and 14th Floor (General Assembly, Geneva, Nairobi).
• Please note: the is no 'day pass' to Education House. You must be registered for individual sessions.
• If you are not registered for an Education House session and are on a waitlist, we cannot grant you access on the day.

3. Travel and Security Tips

• Education House is a harassment-free space. We ask everyone to treat fellow participants with kindness and respect. If you witness or experience any unwanted behaviour, please notify a member of staff immediately. Staff are identifiable by lanyards.
• If you are staying in Midtown, account for increased world leader security that could delay your journey.
• Arrive early to avoid delays from elevator queues and increased UNGA security.
• Keep your photo ID handy for smooth entry.

4. On Food and Friends

• Connection Spaces: Located on Floors 12 and 14, these are designated areas for networking, refreshments, and collaboration between sessions.
• Refreshments: Coffee, tea, light snacks will be available throughout the day. Some hot food will be available in Connection spaces at 12pm and 2.30pm.
• Participants are welcome to step in and out of sessions to grab food and drinks.

5. Photography and Videography

• Photos and videos will be taken during Education House. Let the photographer/videographer know if you prefer not to be included (though we’d rather you be!).
