Browse the session list and put together your day at Education House! We are hosting more than 30 sessions with over 120 partner organisations.

Registration is open

Registrations are now live for Education House at UNGA 81, taking place on 22 September 2026 at 25 Broadway in New York City! Across one day, we'll be exploring how education is central to the sustainable development agenda, including the SDGs and the post-2030 agenda.

Each session seeks to answer one or both of the following questions:

  • What needs to shift in education to embrace the purpose of developing students holistically to meet the interconnected challenges of our time, and how do we accelerate these shifts?

  • What needs to shift for education to be treated as a core strategic priority across all sectors and as the foundation of human capability, economic resilience, and sustainable development, and how do we get there?

Some quick notes:

  • You must have signed in to your Education House account to register.
  • Places are available on a first-come, first-served basis and participation is subject to approval by the session organiser, not Education House.
  • Sessions marked 'Invite only' on the event page are private events.
  • If space is unavailable, you will be directed to register for the waitlist and be notified if you receive a place.
  • Signing up for multiple sessions happening at the same time may result in your registrations being cancelled. Please be courteous to the session organiser.

The session partnership looks forward to welcoming you to Education House!

These sessions reflect both the urgency and opportunity of the moment we're in. Education is fundamental to achieving long-lasting, sustainable change, and by coming together we can make the case for Education for Sustainable Development, together.

Explore the programme by theme below. All times are in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

Redefining success and advancing human flourishing

How must the purpose and practice of education evolve in a rapidly changing world? These sessions explore the capabilities students need to thrive, contribute and shape a better future—and the learning environments, evidence and measures that can support them.

Students as leaders and changemakers

These sessions centre young people as active partners in reshaping education and building more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable societies.

Teachers and school leaders as co-learners and systems leaders

Teachers and school leaders are central to lasting transformation. These sessions explore how their leadership can extend beyond individual classrooms and schools, and how learning environments built on trust, agency and co-creation can enable students to develop as capable, compassionate leaders.

Inclusive and equitable education

These sessions focus on removing barriers to learning and building strong foundations so that every child, regardless of income, gender, geography or disability, has the opportunity to thrive.

Collective leadership across the education ecosystem

No institution can transform education alone. These sessions examine how shared learning, collective inquiry and collaboration across organisations and systems can turn ambition into sustained change.

Education in an AI enabled world

From evidence and implementation to open-source tools and industry commitments, these sessions consider how education can harness AI responsibly while protecting human agency, equity and the essential role of teachers.

Financing education and catalytic philanthropy

These sessions explore how philanthropy, public finance, blended capital and innovative funding mechanisms can strengthen education systems, sustain learning through crises and take effective approaches to scale.
